A coral shelf cast into resin with a whale passing above it, and an LED in the base aimed straight up through the water. The direction is the whole design: light entering from below keeps the corals saturated and leaves the top edge dark, which is how a reef actually looks from the sea floor at the end of the day. You probably wouldn’t, and Mauna is not going to pretend otherwise — the price is the same whichever you choose, so pick the one that fits the surface rather than the budget. 6 × 4 in sits on a crowded nightstand. 10 × 6 in is a shelf object and it is noticeably heavier.

Does the warm version change color?

No. Warm Light and White Light are fixed — they turn on at one color and stay there. Only the RGB base steps through the spectrum. If color is the reason you want it, order RGB.

Is it bright enough to light a room?

No, and it is not meant to be. It is an accent light for a nightstand, a shelf or a desk. Keep a normal lamp for reading.

Can I leave it on all night?

Yes. It is an LED, it runs cool to the touch and it costs almost nothing to leave running.

Will mine look exactly like the photograph?

No. The resin is poured by hand and the base is a real piece of wood, so the bubbles, the wave line and the grain change between units. That is normal and it is not a defect — and if you dislike yours anyway, the thirty days cover it.

How does it plug in?

An adapter is in the box. It needs one standard outlet within reach of the cable, and there is no battery to replace.
