How big is it, really?

Will the crystal look like the photograph?

The color will, the shape will not. Every point is broken out of rock rather than cut, so the silhouette under your dome is its own. Nineteen stones are offered and you get the one you chose.

Does it light up?

No. There is no bulb, no cable, no battery and no switch. It works on the light the room already has, which is why side light does far more for it than a ceiling bulb.

Does the glass dome come off?

Yes. It lifts straight off by hand — nothing is glued and nothing clips. Mauna would still leave it on: an open arrangement of moss and small stones collects dust in about a week.

Which stone should I take?

Choose by the surface it will stand on rather than by the name. The pale ones — pink crystal, white crystal, pink opal — disappear on light wood. The dark ones — lapis lazuli, tiger eye, moss agate — hold their edge against it.
