Four dollars more than the Octopus Lamp on its own, and the Prism Cube comes in the box. The cube is not sold separately — this is the only way Mauna ships it. They are not a set by accident: they split the day between them. The cube takes the afternoon, when the sun is low enough to come through a window sideways and it needs no power at all. The lamp takes everything after that. Together they weigh 3.6 lb and cover the hours from about four in the afternoon until you turn the last light off.

The difference
Four dollars over the Octopus Lamp on its own. The Prism Cube is not sold separately, here or anywhere else.

In the box
Both objects, the cable, the remote and a free Thinker Figure.
What this set does not do
  • It does not arrive in two parcels. One box, one tracking number, one delivery date.
  • It does not light a room. Neither object is a working lamp, and together they are still not one.
  • The cube does nothing in an apartment that never gets direct sun through a window. If that is yours, take the lamp on its own.
  • It does not include a second free gift. One Thinker Figure per order, not per object.
Why they belong together
  • Afternoon, no powerThe sun reaches the cube on the sill and the glass throws a spectrum across the wall. Nothing is switched on, because there is nothing to switch.
  • Evening, one pressThe sun leaves and the spectrum goes with it. The lamp’s button is pressed once and the room takes a new colour.
  • Night, heldThe lamp keeps whatever colour it was left on. It runs cool, draws almost nothing, and is the last thing switched off.
Thirty-day guarantee

Thirty days, counted from the day the parcel is delivered, covering both objects.

  • Damaged or not as describedMauna replaces the unit or refunds it in full. Nothing is shipped back.
  • Only the lamp is wantedThe four dollars are refunded and the cube stays with you. Nothing is shipped back.
  • Changed your mindFull store credit plus 10 percent, or the money back. Nothing to ship back either way.

Mauna has no warehouse in the United States, so nothing here arrives in two days. That is the trade: the objects cost what they cost because the store did not build a building.

Is it literally both objects?

Yes. The Prism Cube and the Octopus Lamp, in one box, one shipment, with the free Thinker Figure packed alongside them.

Why is it only four dollars more than the lamp on its own?

Because a second object in the same box costs almost nothing to ship, and the cube is small. Four dollars is close to what the cube itself costs Mauna. It is not a discount and it is not a promotion — it is what a small object costs when it travels with a larger one.

Can I buy the Prism Cube on its own?

No. Shipped alone, its flight costs five times what the object does, and Mauna is not going to charge you for that. This set is the only way it goes out.

Can I split them and give one away?

Yes. They arrive as two separate objects inside one carton, each in its own packaging.

Do I get two free gifts?

No. One Thinker Figure per order, not per object. The gift follows the box, not the item count.

Why these two together?

They work at opposite hours. The cube does nothing after dark and the lamp is what you notice then; in the afternoon it flips. Owning one means half the day is covered.

What if I only like one of them?

The thirty-day guarantee applies to the whole order. Tell us which one missed and you get refunded or credited for the pair — there is no rule that says you have to send anything back.

Nobody has written one yet.

Mauna does not write its own, does not buy them, and does not copy them from a supplier’s page. When one arrives it carries the unit number of the box it came out of, so you can tell it from a stranger on the internet.
